But I feel better, for the last few days I have felt that my brain was full of stuffing, I felt clogged, irritable and snappy.
I have a few copping mechanisms for when depression hits but even those were struggling.
I did have a revelation... I am allowed to relax and take a day for me. For me this was big as I do find it hard to relax, I work for myself and feel I should always be doing something. I mostly work the hardest at weekends when I take my creations out to the general public.
One of the reasons for me feeling better is I think the weather broke. I believe the pressure systems have an effect on my brain. Today it feels like the stuffing has been removed and I can go ahhhhhhhh.
Today I am feeling chilled and my fussy cat has deemed my lap worth and his.
So does anyone else find weather pressure systems affect their mood?
Raindrops by me.

It only feels like yesterday that I was holding him in my arms and now he would squish me.
So today is full of birthday wishes and excited children and special treats.
I hope you all have a special day too.
Tuesday, 19 June 2012
The sun has finally showed up and it makes all the difference seeing such bright light enhancing all the colours of nature.
I also picked up a new to me printer for only £16.01 and it came with two new toners!!! Its brilliant as our old one was struggling.
This also means I can get creative and print some bits and pieces.
I also did the shopping on our budget and had change left over, lastly I have baked banana cupcakes for lunch boxes for the children. Strange thing is the child who will eat anything didn't like them but the fussy one did... you can't win.
So it may have been mundane every day stuff, but the sun shined on me.

I have depression.
Some days are better than others, some days are very dark blue nearly black.
One of the ways I have recently used to help me cope is to surround my self with positive messages.
I have one near where I sit and work, I have a little book of positivity in the loo. As all Mum's know sometime the loo is the only time to your self!
The messages help. Today the one by my seat is "My home is a peaceful haven."
I want this to be true for my home and at times more often than not it is.
One of my favourite things is this:
Water is strong and flexible, it can level mountains and caress a flower. Such strength, Such care.
I try to be like water.

The two clear turquoise beads measure approximately 5.5mm 9.5mm and the two opaque turquoise beads measure approximately 7.4mm x 11mm.
There are 6 small transparent turquoise seed beads between the larger beads.
The lamp work beads have been annealed in my digitally controlled kiln giving them strength and durability and they have been hand cleaned.
Really cute little set of white beads with a cheery splash of bright orange to the focal bead.
Made in my North of England studio using good quality glass these beads have been annealed in my digitally controlled kiln and have been hand cleaned ready for you to use in your own jewellery/craft creation.
The focal bead is approximately 18.5mm x 13mm and is white with a twisty swathe of orange randomly placed round it's middle. The bead was then wrapped in clear glass to add depth to the over all effect.
The two smaller white lamp work beads measure approximately 10mm x 5.5mm

The outer fabric of this purse is a gorgeous retro look cotton fabric from the Mrs March range by Lecien, featuring a delicate black, grey and red floral pattern, interspersed with tiny fine dots, on a lighter grey coloured background..
The purse is fitted with a stylish black coloured metallic kiss clasp frame. Inside there's a double thickness interlining, plus some soft cotton wadding, topped off with a plain black cotton lining.
In her own words "Hand creating glass beads, and incorporating these original works of art into a wearable creation is exhilarating!"
I love the colour of her pieces.
This is one I really like,
I used Silver enriched Glass which reacts beautifully in the flame giving clear and gorgeous jewel like tones throughout the glass. I also melted beautiful handmade murrini glass form Lori Peterson and Kim Milan into one of my beads.
I called this beautiful creation Dulc'e
and incorporated the beads of which the feature bead measures (2.1cm x 1.4cm thick) with my absolute love for wire and created a piece that that looks breathtaking.
The bracelet has been accented with large Swarovski crystals in dark amethyst adding to the Jewel tone this bracelet exudes." Lorraine Dowdle.
